My Very First JPJ Summon

From JPJ Summon

Last week, when i was on my way back from town, i saw JPJ (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia) manning a road block as usual. My friend told me earlier that nowadays there are a lot of JPJ road block but i didn’t bother at all. And unluckily i met JPJ on my way back home. When it was my turn, the officer stopped me.

Here’s our conversation:

Officer: Show me your IC (Identity Card) and your driving license please.

Me: Okay..

Officer: Do you know what offence you have committed?

Me: I don’t know. Anything wrong with my car? (Pretending nothing’s wrong)

Officer: Your car number plate shall not be obstructed.

Me: Is it? I thought it was ok. (Start Pretending)

Officer: No, this is illegal one. Now i want to write you a summon for this.

Me: huh.. Sorry Lah! forgive me lar.. (Act innocent)

Officer: Ok, you want me to summon you on “not fasten your seat-beat” or “Car Plate”? Seat-Belt (RM300) and Car plate (RM80). Choose either one.

Me: Errrr.. Car plate. Cheaper!! hehhee.. –_–”

Officer: Ok!

Huh, What a unlucky day!!! RM80 Fly away~~~

Aiyo! You didn’t act innocent enough. Many years ago when I was much younger, I was stopped by the police too. I just pretended I didn’t know what offence I committed. Just pretended to be innocent and told the police it was my first time driving car alone. He let me go without paying anything!

My offence was actually changing lanes at the traffic light : )

Next time i should learn from you. Or cry in front of the police. Wahaha. Asking him to forgive me. ><

I never got a JPJ summons but countless of police summons for highway speeding! Many areas along the North-South highways have sudden changes to 80-90kph zones without my realization at night. So tricky!

I got the speeding summon once. And it was just exceeded 11km/h only. Huh
