Happy Chinese New Year to you all again.. “Kung hay fat choi” Ang Pou Na Lai~ Traditionally, celebration of the New Year lasts 15 days and today is the 9th of CNY. So I think i better post this entry before the Chinese New Year comes to the end. Ok, let’s see what did i do on Chinese New Year.
On the New Year Eve, I went to the Old Folk Home with my mother and donated 2 sacks of rice and some biscuits to them.
Chinese new Year celebration would not be complete without any fireworks rite?? Chinese believes that the noise of the fireworks will scare away all the evil spirits and preventing them from coming into the new year. Once the clock strikes 12am, you will hear firecrackers and fire works being fired off everywhere.
On the 1st day of Chinese New Year, i went to my relative’s house for curries as lunch. “Super Dumper Nice”. Look at the varieties of rice and curries. I like the green rice (Pandan rice) so much.
Everyone is expected to wear new clothes, that’s why we decided to take a photo with our new clothes.
On the afternoon, Willchua, Bongkerz and Bongkerz’s better half, BengBeng, Alex, Wongpk came to my house. Where’s STP?? hahas..

The New Year festival is a happy time with friends of course. We usually gambling at each other house.
After whole day of visiting and gambling, everyone getting a bit tired.
and we even have to take a short nap while visiting.. ^_^

We didnt have fire crackers here. I didnt buy any new clothes either -_-. But I got lou sang though it’s only for one time this year :). Happy Niu year
Ya, my friend from West Malaysia told me too.. some of then even celebrate their CNY in East Malaysia just for Firecrackers. Next time you should come here and experience it. Lou Sang, when is the actual date for Lau Sang?

You have great photos as always. It was difficult for me to buy fire crackers here. My neighbour still thinks very suspiciously of me in case I report them to the police boh!!!
I know they have “jalan” to the fire crackers.
Then I found out that a relative bought a long string of firecrackers from a very very old lady…..
It is still a matter of hush hush business here…
Then in kuching there was almost two hours of fire crackers letting off after midnight. No police. And most of the roads were red in the morning. Again no police.
Thanks Sarawakiana. Luckily i’m not your neighbor. Otherwise i might in the jail now. hahas.
Yup, i don’t see any police around on Chinese New Year time. Maybe they’re busying doing they visiting. Haha.
