Sarawak Tropical Rainforest Hash 1st Anniversary Hash Run and Dinner

Sarawak Tropical Rainforest Hash was celebrated its 1st Anniversary Hash run at YMCA Resort on 7th December 2008.

More than 350 hashers from Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, Tawau and Miri took part in this hash run.

The route for this hash run was tougher compared to the previous hash that i went. There were three routes for this hash, which are super long-run (8.35Km), long-run (6.1Km) and medium-run (3.3Km).

And of course, i took part in the “MEDIUM RUN”. It took me 2hours to finish the whole journey(dying). If i were to take part in the super long-run and long-run, i guess i need somebody to piggyback me out from the jungle.

Along the journey, we saw a lot of rare plants and some unknown trees. The journey was like Up and Down, Up and Down which made everyone exhausted.

I didn’t take many photos along the way, the track was too tough. Everyone was very very very exhausted. I almost sprained my ankle and those grass cut my hand pretty bad. T_T

After the hash, i found that my shoe was full of mud. Even my sock , pant, shirt and everywhere.. -_-

At night, there was a dinner in Kingwood Hotel for the 1st Anniversary celebration.

i find people in your state cool. i think people has become more and more active in protecting nature. i never tried running for a cause yet. i laughed when you mentioned that you’ll do piggyback if you did the long run. i might have done the same. hehehe

STP: I took the “Long” route, although not the “Super Long”, I still deeply regretted that I didn’t took the “Medium” route! LOL! Damn exhausting, I almost died halfway climbing the endless mountains, phobia…phobia!
Xiao Wei: We paid a total of RM60 for each person, inclusive of a cute T shirt (or in other words, looks kinda childish too). RM40 for hash and dinner only, no T shirt.

Is damn exhausting eventho i only able to run on medium route which is only 3.3KM. damn, no idea why i’m so tired that day…
One of our friend completed the super long route, hiak hiak… proud of him..

STP: Ya, kinda fun! i finished the medium-run.. Er.. no position! haha.. almost the last one! Stanley kuat lihai!! He took the long-run and finished in 2hours ! walau! Bengbeng didn’t joiN!
XioaweI:Free drinks, breads, pangan, eggs, and etc.. we paid RM60 per person included dinner and one t-shirt. We can dance with them, but i didn’t want.. coz i know i poor in dancing! haha. He eats lots!! Still like that..
DongHo: I think there is a hash club in every countries. Lols, super long-run took about 4-5hours! i might just fainted after 2.5hours if i took part in super long.haha..

Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and having a really good fun. I’ll pass for the long-run but I’ll go for the piggyback.

Thanks for your support. I m really glad that more and more people are aware of the conservation of our forest. I hope that you guys will continue to give your support to Sarawak Tropical Rainforest. There will be lots of functions around the world for the hashers. we will be joining the Gasing Hash 10th Anniversary Run in Shah Alam this May.
